Class taken at Seattle Glassblowing Studio prior to the 2004 GAS Conference in that city.
This is the pick up belonging to Fritz's friend parked at the curb. | |
This is the beginning move, all the green is provided by powder. Here a blown bubble has become the lower body and a clear flat bit makes the windshield and side windows.. | |
A thin bit run up the correct line becomes the side pillar/door frame. | |
A roof is added with a flattened bit. | |
Now flat pieces are pulled and assembled into a pickup bed | |
The floor of the bed. | |
Sides and back of the bed. | |
Add cookies for wheels and axle. Concentration. | |
Recover the shape after heating. | |
Reheat. | |
Start a fender. | |
Take it around and cut if off. | |
Finish the fender shape. | |
Flatten the back. | |
Punty to the back and turn in the front and start shaping the front. | |
Reheat the punty. | |
Work over and add clear bits for details, mirror, hood ornament. | |
