Counties of Studios in Texas

The following pages include links to studio and college sites as well as pages with notes and images taken during April 98 while traveling on a vacation trip to visit various glass sites in Texas. The sites mentioned are in the counties shown in black above.
This site, contemporary glass in Texas discovered 2001-12-19 is very nice and has a lot of info on glass people of all kinds around Texas. "As glass art collectors, my wife, Fran, and I founded the site to be a central, easy-to-find source for the public to get basic information about the glass art community in Texas. We are happy to report to you that clearly people are looking. From December, 2002 through today, our web host service records about 450,000 hits. Last month alone, there were 56,757 hits. It's all voluntary on our part (we're a retired couple living on Galveston Island). We pay the costs of maintaining the site. Artist listings are free. Using the site is free. Our goal is to do what we can to help to promote Texas glass art."

Mike, The glass equipment has been moved from the Tech campus to Junction.
Glass should not be listed under Sculpture. It will be offered in the future as a non-credit course/workshop. You can contact Martha Richardson on the Junction campus for information on classes. Her email is on our Junction website. Best, sara waters
